Lunar Bears- Spiral notebook

This pen and ink drawing titled 'Lunar Bears' is the first in a new series of drawings that will combine the phases of the moon with symbolic animals. This shows a first quarter moon behind a parent Kermode Bear (a rare subspecies of the black bear which is also known as a Spirit Bear) and its black bear cub. The bear is commonly seen as a symbol of strength, courage and protection, but it also stands as a reminder to us to respect our seasons, both resting and surging forward when the times are right.
